David Wilson is the driving force behind James Wilson & Company. We are a longstanding reputable family run firm who started business in 1968 at Berryhill, Moscow, Galston, right in the heart of Ayrshire, Scotland, buying and selling second hand agricultural machinery.

We have experience in the export of tractors, any type of machinery or plant to various countries around the world. This information can be provided on request.

The main manufacturers of tractors we buy and sell to retail and trade customers are Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Claas, John Deere, and Case. We endeavour to source all types of machinery on customer request. We can deliver/uplift machinery anywhere in mainland UK and are able to ship to any port. All of our current stock can be viewed in our Farm Machinery Section.

In 1986 we expanded into the plant hire market which has gone from strength to strength. We maintain all our own hire vehicles and machinery with a small workshop and a dedicated workforce.

Our Hire Fleet includes Tractors, Telehandlers, 3 to 14 ton excavators, Skid steer loaders, Plant & Dump Trailers, vibrating Roller, Dumpers and rear & side discharge Muck Spreaders.

Hire machinery can be adapted to our customers own requirements, ie, front linkages, weights and tyres changed or removed. All our machinery can be delivered and uplifted anywhere in the UK. We also have competitive rates for long term hire.

We are based in a rural setting on a small Farm just 22 miles south of Glasgow Airport, 12 miles from Prestwick Airport and the Port of Troon, 62 miles from the Ports of Cairnryan and Stranraer. Train stations and buses are within easy access from which collection can be arranged.
